The loss of income due to illness or injury can cause serious financial hardship for your family. Disability insurance, provided through New York Life replaces a portion of your income to help you continue paying your bills and meeting your financial obligations during this difficult time.

Disability insurance plans
Short-Term Disability coverage is available to team members outside of California. Coverage is automatic and company-paid:
- Benefits begin after 7 days of disability.
- Pays 60% of your weekly earnings, up to a maximum of $1,765 per week.
- Benefits end after 25 weeks.
- For team members in New Jersey and New York, benefits are integrated with state disability laws.
For team members in Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Puerto Rico are integrated with state disability laws.
Long-Term Disability coverage is available to all team members. Coverage is automatic and company-paid:
- Benefits begin after you have been disabled for 180 days.
- Pays 66 2/3% of your salary, up to a maximum of $15,000 per month. The minimum benefit is the greater of $100 per month, or 10% of the gross benefit.
